SUNNYSIDE — A motorcyclist died after crashing into a car at the intersection of Clove Road and Bard Avenue, police said.
The 31-year-old man was riding westbound on Clove Road Saturday when he struck a four-door sedan that was making a left-turn onto Bard Avenue at about 7:30 p.m., the NYPD said.
Officers arrived on scene and found the cyclist unconscious with trauma to his head. He was taken to Richmond University Medical Center where he died, police said.
The driver of the sedan remain on scene and police said an investigation is ongoing.
The motorcyclist's name is being withheld by police pending family notification.
