QUEENS — A 15-year-old boy climbed to the second floor window of a 4-year-old girl in Rosedale on Sunday morning then sexually assaulted the child, according to the NYPD.

The boy, who lived a few blocks away and whose name wasn't immediately released, used a ladder to get to the girl in her Francis Lewis Boulevard room about 9 a.m., police officials said.

Police were able to lift a print off the ladder and connected it to the boy, who has three prior arrests, including at least one other for sexual assault, NYPD Chief of Detectives Bob Boyce said during a press conference Tuesday evening.

At least one sibling was in the home when she was assaulted.

The teen was arrested Tuesday about 2:30 a.m. and gave a full confession, Boyce added.

He was charged with attempted rape, burglary and aggravated sexual abuse, police said.
