Pickpocket Steals Man's Wallet in Midtown McDonald's, NYPD Says

MIDTOWN — Police are looking for a pickpocket they said stole a man’s wallet in Midtown and then made hundreds of dollars worth of purchases with his credit cards.

The 48-year-old man was inside a McDonald's on Sixth Avenue between West 46th and 47th streets on April 17 at about 8 p.m. when the thief walked up behind him and nabbed his wallet, an NYPD spokeswoman said. 

The robber then made several purchases with the cards.

The suspect is between 40 to 50 years old, 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, police said.

He was last wearing a multi-colored shirt, dark hat, glasses and blue jeans.

It was not clear exactly where the unspecified purchases were made, police said.
