
TREMONT — Newly renovated apartments renting for as low as $716 per month will soon be available in The Bronx.
The units at 565 E. 178th St. and 2089-91 Arthur Ave. will go to households of between one and six people earning between $26,434 and $63,060 per year, or between 50 and 60 percent of Area Median Income.

The apartments consist of six studios for $716 per month, a one-bedroom for $769 per month and two three-bedrooms for $1,067 per month.
Other units include five one-bedrooms for $882 per month, one two-bedroom for $1,065 per month and one three-bedroom for $1,292 per month.
It was unclear how the 16 apartments would be divided up across the Arthur Avenue and E. 178th Street buildings.
A percentage of units will be set aside for eligible city employees and Bronx Community Board 6 residents, as well as people with visual, hearing or mobile disabilities. The city started accepting applications for the housing lottery on April 14.

Prospective tenants must apply by May 5 and can do so online at nyc.gov/housingconnect or request an application through the mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to Arthur Clinton, LP, c/o Belmont Arthur Avenue LDC -660 E. 183rd St., Bronx, NY 10458.
