BROOKLYN — A 20-year-old man reported missing by his mom in Brighton Beach 11 days ago still hasn’t been found — and an eerie status has since popped up on one of his social media accounts, police sources said.

Aziz Chirkeev left his dental assistant job on Avenue U near East 1st Street on April 3 and told his mom he was taking the train into Manhattan to cool off after a frustrating day of work, sources and his roommate said.

But he never returned home, and his WhatsApp status was later changed to “The person dead.” Previously, he only posted in Russian, a law enforcement source said.

"It makes me think he could be hurt," Chirkeev's roommate, Zhyldyz Abdrasulova, 27, told DNAinfo. "It's weird he changed his status."

Chirkeev, who has no history of mental illness and has never run away before, was reported missing April 4. The family has since hired a private investigator to try to track him down, sources said.

"Police have investigated the hospitals and morgues," Abdrasulova said. "They're saying that they're trying to track his MetroCard, trying to track his phone, but it takes time. He never did this before."

Chirkeev is about 5-foot-9-inches tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown hat, a navy blue jacket, black jeans and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
