MANHATTAN — A pedestrian suffered head injuries after getting hit by a driver on Delancey Street Thursday morning, officials said.

The victim, whose identity wasn't immediately released, was struck near Forstyth Street about 4:12 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

The person suffered head trauma and was treated at Bellevue Hospital, officials said. Authorities would not comment on the severity of hte cyclist's injuries.

It was not clear what type of vehicle the driver was in or whether the driver stayed at the scene following the incident.
