YORKVILLE — Carl Schurz Park may soon be getting a 22-story neighbor.

Developer Sky Management filed plans with the city on April 5 for a new mixed-use high-rise at 511 E. 86th St. near York Avenue featuring 139 apartments, ground-level retail space, a gym and a roof deck located a block away from Carl Schurz Park, city records show.

The application says the project will also include low-income inclusionary housing, but the Department of Housing and Preservation could not confirm that.

Arquitectonica is the architect of record.

Sky Management already demolished a four-story building at the site after getting permits in 2015, records show.

The developer, which is also behind the Rose Modern on East 74th Street, bought the property for $2.7 million in 2007, according to city records.

Sky Management — which owns and manages almost two dozen other properties across Manhattan, including nine on the Upper East Side — did not return a request for comment on Monday.
