WILLIAMSBURG — A hipster bandit snuck into a neighborhood Latin food joint and stole thousands of dollars in checks and cash, according to police.

The thief, with curly blonde hair, dressed in a hoodie and square-framed glasses, crept into Pokito — which specializes in empanadas, coconut rice and yuca nachos  at 155 S. 4th St. at 4:21 a.m. on April 3, police said.

There he grabbed $980 cash and two checks worth $2,000, police said. Surveillance camera footage captured inside the restaurant later released by police, showed the thief in action.

A manager Pokito couldn't be reached immediately for comment.

Anyone with information can call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
