BUSHWICK — Police released a sketch of the suspect they believe crawled into a sleeping woman's apartment through her open window from a fire escape early in the morning on March 25, exposed himself and tried to get into her bed, police said.

The terrified 30-year-old-woman fought back and her screams awakened her roommate at around 6:45 a.m. who rushed in to help her, police said.

The spooked suspect ran from the Greene Avenue apartment through the front door, according to police.

Investigators later found a beer can on the fire escape and were examining it for DNA evidence, an NYPD spokesman said.

Anyone with information about this man can call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
