CHELSEA — A goateed robber got away with cash from a Seventh Avenue bank after passing a demand note to the teller, the NYPD said.

The man walked into the Amalgamated Bank at 275 Seventh Ave., near West 25th Street, around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, approached the bank teller, and passed the teller a note demanding money, police said.

The teller handed the man an unspecified amount of cash, and the man ran off, heading south on Seventh Avenue, the NYPD said.

Police released surveillance photos of the man, who can be seen at the bank counter and walking and fiddling with his belt.

The NYPD described him as roughly 45 to 50 years old, standing 5-foot-11, with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Amalgamated Bank didn’t respond to request for comment Wednesday.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
