WILLIAMSBURG — Police are investigating after a 4-month-old boy was found dead by his babysitter inside her Brooklyn apartment Tuesday, sources said.

Little Shabsie Tabak was on his first day at the babysitter’s house on Driggs Avenue near Division Avenue when she told authorities she fed and burped him, then placed him in a stroller around 2 p.m., sources said.

About 90 minutes later, she found him not breathing. She called the Hatzolah ambulance service and the boy’s mom, who was a couple of blocks away, sources said.

Tabak was taken to Brooklyn Hospital where he was declared dead. He didn’t have any visible trauma to his body, police said.

Julie Bolcer, a spokeswoman for the Medical Examiner said that following an examination of the baby's body, they couldn't determine what had caused his death.
