GREENWICH VILLAGE — Police released surveillance footage of two attackers who they say roughed up famed Da Silvano restaurateur Silvano Marchetto inside his apartment building over the weekend.

One of the suspects put the 70-year-old Marchetto in a chokehold inside the lobby of his Sixth Avenue building Sunday around 12:30 a.m., causing him to fall to the floor, police said. The other then grabbed more than $1,800 in cash from him before they both fled, police sources said.

Marchetto — the owner of the celebrity hotspot that recently shuttered after more than four decades in the Village — went to a local hospital day the next with a fractured trachea.

One of the robbers was described as wearing a green hoodie, light blue jeans and black sneakers. The other was described as wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and white sneakers, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
