UPPER EAST SIDE — A 37-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a Mercedes-Benz SUV on York Avenue on Monday night, police said.

The woman was crossing East 86th Street about 10 feet from the crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle about 9:10 p.m., the NYPD said.

She was taken to Cornell Hospital with head and leg injuries and was expected to survive, police said.

The 56-year-old driver stayed on the scene and hadn’t been charged as of Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.
