Man Survives Getting Hit by Train After Falling on Tracks, Officials Say

MANHATTAN — A man survived a collision with a northbound A train after he fell onto the tracks of the West Fourth Street station Tuesday night, officials said.

The 30-year-old man tumbled onto the tracks as the train entered the station about 11:57 p.m., according to FDNY and NYPD officials.

The train hit him, injuring his leg, and he was treated at Bellevue Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition, officials said.

Police don't believe the man was the victim of a crime, a spokesman said.
