HELL'S KITCHEN — A man died after he walked into an NYPD stationhouse Monday night with a fatal stab wound he got during a fight with a man he knew, police said.

The 66-year-old victim, whose name wasn't immediately released, was fighting with the suspect near West 36th Street and Ninth Avenue about 11:25 p.m. when he was stabbed in the chest and back, NYPD officials said.

The man managed to flee and walked into the NYPD's Midtown South Precinct stationhouse at 357 W. 35th St. about a block away, police said.

He was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital, police said.

The suspect wasn't immediately arrested, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the initial fight, police said.
