Bronx Man Shot and Killed Inside East Williamsburg Nightclub, Police Say

By Gwynne Hogan | March 20, 2017 9:50am

EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A Bronx coke dealer was shot in the face and killed inside a Flushing Avenue nightclub early Sunday morning, police said.

Three men approached Jefferson Exantus, 22, inside M2 Brooklyn Asylum at 1269 Flushing Ave. at 5:21 a.m. and one shot him in the head, police said.

Emergency responders took Exantus to Woodhull Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

Exantus had twelve prior arrests dating back to 2009, three of which were for sale of a controlled substance, police said. Last October, Exantus pleaded guilty to selling cocaine and was sentenced to six months in jail, Manhattan prosecutors said.

He was released on Jan. 20, according to city corrections records.

Workers at the club did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

No one had been arrested as of Monday morning, and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
