PARK SLOPE — Police are asking for the public's help to track down a man who forced his way into a 60-year-old woman's apartment and then stole $800 in cash and jewelry, the NYPD said.

The suspect threatened the woman at her front door with a screwdriver at about noon on Feb. 27 near Seventh Avenue and Garfield Place, police said. He then took money and assorted jewelry from the apartment and quickly fled on foot toward Seventh Avenue, police said.

Police described the suspect as about 5-feet 10-inches tall and 220 pounds with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a gray wool cap with a black Yankees logo, dark blue long-sleeve jacket, dark pants and black shoes.
