OCEAN HILL — A man was found dead inside a troubled construction site on Fulton Street Thursday morning, officials said.
Police found the 50-year-old victim unconscious and unresponsive, sitting on the floor inside 2100 Fulton St. near Thomas S. Boyland Street around 7:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
No further information was available on who initially discovered the body, according to police.
There were no obvious signs of trauma on the victim or any signs of criminality, an NYPD spokeswoman added. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s identity was not released by police as of Thursday afternoon, pending family notification.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, officials said.
The site has five complaints from July regarding failure to maintain the construction site, excessive debris, no handrails and unprotected openings, according to Department of Building records.
