By Nicholas Rizzi | March 15, 2017 12:14pm | Updated on March 17, 2017 12:33pm

NEW BRIGHTON — A man dressed all in black chucked a Molotov cocktail at an NYPD van early Wednesday morning, and fled on foot, police said.

The suspect threw the explosive at a unoccupied Command Post van parked on Jersey Street and Benzinger Avenue at about 2:55 a.m., a spokesman for the NYPD said.

The man missed the vehicle and officers. Police spotted him and gave chase, but lost him when he fled in an unknown vehicle, police said.

Police released a second video on Thursday night which shows the suspect driving away from the scene in a light colored Nissan Quest.

The attack took place a week after an individual used a BB gun to shoot at an NYPD van parked in Jackson Heights, shattering the front passenger window while officers were inside.

Police have not made an arrest in the Queens attack, which happened on March 6.

Anyone with information about this shooting should call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
