OCEAN BREEZE — A recently fired janitor returned to his old job and beat his ex-boss with a baseball bat, according to police and reports.

Leon Morris, 55, went to Staten Island University Hospital North, at 475 Seaview Ave., on Sunday at around 5 p.m. and hit the 58-year-old woman in the head with the bat, the NYPD said.

Morris worked as a janitor in the hospital but was fired several days ago, the New York Post reported. The woman was his former supervisor, according to the Post.

The woman was taken to the emergency room in the hospital and is listed in stable condition as of Monday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman for the hospital.

Morris was arrested and charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon by police.

The hospital could not provide more information on if Morris or the victim worked there.
