Elderly Man Sucker-Punched in Random Fordham Attack, NYPD Says

THE BRONX — Police are looking for a man they said sucker-punched an elderly man in a random attack.

The 88-year-old was walking near Briggs Avenue and East 196th Street on Monday at about 1:26 p.m. when a stranger walked up and hit him in the face, according to the NYPD. The attacker then ran off without taking any of the victim’s possessions.

The elderly man refused medical attention at the scene.

Police said the attacker is about 15 to 20 years old, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, blue hoodie, blue jeans and black and white sneakers.
