QUEENS — Police are looking for a woman who punched another straphanger in the face after an argument on the J train turned violent.

The suspect was traveling on a Jamaica-bound train on Feb. 27 around 4:20 p.m. when she got upset because she didn't like the way another woman was looking at her, authorities said.

The two got into an argument which became physical. The suspect punched the victim in the face, then fled when the train entered the Jamaica Center subway station, police said.

The 26-year-old victim refused medical attention at the scene, officials said.

Police described the suspect as approximately 16 to 20 years old and between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-7. She was last seen wearing a green jacket, dark pants, a dark hooded jacket and black and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
