CONCOURSE — A teenager broke a court officer's jaw after he confronted him for sneaking into the Yankee Stadium subway stop, according to the Bronx District Attorney.

George Yates, 16, snuck into the station through the emergency gate without paying the fare at about 5:12 p.m. on Tuesday, prosecutors charge.

New York State Court Officer William Gibson saw Yates sneak in and approached him, identifying where he work and saying Yates needed to go back, pay the subway fare and re-enter through the turnstiles.

Yates then attacked Gibson, punching him several times in the mouth and face then kicked him while he was on the ground, according to the complaint.

Gibson suffered a broken jaw and lost multiple teeth during the attack. He was taken the hospital for emergency treatment, according to the complaint.

Yates was arrested at the scene and charged with assault, menacing and harassment at his Wednesday night arraignment, according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office.
