BED-STUY — Police have released an image of a suspect who they say robbed a construction worker at gunpoint of more than $1,000.

The 39-year-old worker was inside the basement of a building near Gates Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard when the gunman came up to him, forced him to the ground and demanded money on Dec. 28 about 3 p.m., the NYPD said.

The victim complied and forked over about $1,100 in cash. He wasn’t hurt, police said.

The gunman is about 25 to 30 years old and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a multi-colored hoodie. He also had on a black and white overcoat, burgundy pants and black sneakers.

It’s unclear why police were just releasing his image now.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
