CHELSEA — A woman out walking her dog was hit on by a smooth-talking Casanova, who she later realized had stolen her phone during the exchange, the NYPD said.

The 24-year-old victim was walking her pooch near the northwest corner of West 23rd Street and 11th Avenue around 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 25 when the suspect came up to her and asked to pet the pup, police said.

Not long after, he asked the woman on a date, but she said no and walked away, the NYPD said.

After she’d left, she realized the $500 iPhone 5s she’d had in her front pocket was missing, along with its $50 case, police said.

Police hadn’t arrested anyone in connection with the incident as of Wednesday.
