BROOKLYN — M train track repairs will start Friday, ending service between Queens and Brooklyn for most weekends through June to replace tracks and make repairs.

The MTA will shut down the line between Myrtle Avenue-Broadway in Brooklyn through the end of the line at Metropolitan Avenue in Queens for 11 weekends through June.

The weekend work precedes a massive reconstruction of the line in Bushwick slated to start this summer, which will displace businesses and residents.

The initial shutdown will take place on the following weekends from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday:

►March 4-6

►March 11-13

►March 18-20

►April 8-10

►April 22-24

►April 29-May 1

►May 13-15

►May 20-22

►June 3-5

►June 17-19

►June 24-26

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate weekend service, making all subway stops between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue-Broadway.

Service will run between Myrtle Avenue and Essex Street in the Lower East Side and over the J line to and from Broadway Junction.

Once the weekend work is complete the first phase of the line shutdown will start in July with service suspended between Myrtle and Metropolitan avenues for two months.

After the first phase is complete, M shuttle service will run between Metropolitan and Myrtle avenues for eight months. Service will run between Manhattan and Brooklyn and on the J and Z line from Myrtle Avenue to Broadway Junction.
