MOUNT HOPE — A subway surfer died after falling off the top of a subway train in The Bronx, police said.

The victim, whose identity was not released, fell off of a southbound D train at the Tremont Avenue stop on Sunday just after 4 a.m., according to the NYPD.

He landed on the tracks, where he was struck by a train and died at the scene, police said.

Officers are still reviewing his background and what he was doing on top of the train.
