THE BRONX — An Amber Alert issued Friday morning for a missing 6-year-old girl last seen in The Bronx was canceled after the girl was found and her father taken into custody, law-enforcement officials said.
The father is suspected of fatally stabbing the girl's mother, officials said.
A citywide alert sent out by the New York City Office of Emergency Management around 8:30 a.m. said the child, Aylin Sofia Hernandez, could be "in imminent danger," but the office then sent out a message at 11:28 a.m. canceling the Amber Alert.

Her father Oscar Hernandez, 39, is suspected of stabbing two women in Bridgeport, Connecticut, police sources said.
Hernandez had been seen on Jennings Street in The Bronx and may have been headed to other locations in the borough, authorities said earlier.
He’s about 5-foot-3, 165 pounds and has short brown hair and brown eyes.
Sofia Hernandez is about 4-feet tall, 55 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
His connection to the other woman he's believed to have stabbed in Connecticut was unclear.
Anyone with information should call 866-NYS-AMBER or 911.
