Bull Dies After Hourslong Police Chase Through Queens, NYPD Says

JAMAICA — The bull that led police on an hourslong chase through Queens Tuesday morning has died, police said.

The animal broke out of a slaughterhouse on Beaver Street in Jamaica about 10 a.m. and was free for nearly two-and-a-half hours before finally being cornered at 115-43 158th St., police said.

It was repeatedly shot with sedatives during the chase.

Officials with Animal Care and Control pronounced it dead at while they were transporting it to their Brooklyn facility, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear how the animal died.

Its body was being taken to a crematorium, officials said.
