EAST TREMONT — New affordable apartments for as low as $494 a month are becoming available in The Bronx.

The 227 units are located in a development called Park House at 4275 Park Ave. They are available for households of between one and six people earning between $18,823 and $63,060 per year, or between 40 and 60 percent of Area Median Income.

One studio apartment is available for $494 a month, 12 one-bedrooms are going for $532 a month, 13 two-bedrooms are $646 a month and four three-bedrooms will rent for $745 a month.

There are also eight studios available for $787 a month, 81 one-bedrooms for $846 a month, 87 two-bedrooms for $1,024 a month and 21 three-bedrooms for $1,181 a month.

Eligible residents of Bronx Community Board 6, city employees and people with visual, mobility or hearing disabilities will receive preference for a percentage of units.

Prospective tenants must apply to live in the building by April 17 and can do so online at nyc.gov/housingconnect or by requesting an application through the mail by sending a self-addressed envelope to Park House, PO Box 3620937, New York, NY 10129.
