LOWER EAST SIDE — A injured woman discovered by Port Authority police in Midtown early Monday morning told officers she had been forced into a car on the Lower East Side by a trio of men who beat and robbed her earlier that night.

The 20-year-old victim claimed she had been on East Broadway near Pike Street at around 9 p.m. Sunday evening when three men forced her into a car and took her to an unknown location, where they hit and shoved her in the back and ribs, causing swelling and pain, authorities said.

The men then snatched $300 from the woman and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim then got into a taxi and was taken to 40th Street and Ninth Avenue, where Port Authority police found her at around 3:50 a.m. the following morning, according to a police report.

The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspects or the car they were driving, the police report said.
