EAST HARLEM — Police are searching for two men who robbed and assaulted a woman in the vestibule of her apartment building.

The 30-year-old victim was walking into her building at Malcolm X Boulevard and Park Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 when the men asked her to let them into the building, police said.

When she refused, one of the suspects snatched her phone and fled the scene toward East 131st Street, she told police.

The second suspect then grabbed the woman, threw her to the ground and tried to take her coat, police said.

The victim managed to break free and the man fled, police said.

The victim suffered bruising to her head but declined medical treatment.

The suspects were caught on surveillance images from the apartment building that the NYPD released on Wednesday.

The suspects were described as roughly 15 to 20 years old, with one wearing ripped blue jeans and a black hoodie jacket and the other wearing red pants, a gray hoodie and a black coat.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
