QUEENS — Police are looking for two thieves who ripped a $300 chain off a straphanger on an E train in Queens, authorities said.

The suspects approached the 23-year-old man from behind as the Jamaica-bound train stopped at the Jamaica/Van Wyck station on Feb. 5 around 4:20 a.m., officials said.

When the doors opened, one of the suspects grabbed the chain. It, along with an angel pendant, fell onto the victim’s chest, police said.

The attackers accomplice then snatched the chain and pendant and both suspects ran out of the station, according to the NYPD.

Police released a surveillance video of one of the suspects captured as he was leaving the Jamaica/Van Wyck train station. He was wearing glasses and a distinctive beanie cap and also has a beard.

A description of the second suspect was not available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
