MANHATTAN — A 15-year-old girl has been missing from her Amsterdam Avenue home since late January, police said Friday.

Stephanie Gonzalez was last seen at her home near West 63rd Street about 8 a.m. on Jan. 27, NYPD officials said.

Gonzalez, who was reported missing last Friday, is about 5-foot-1 with black hair and brown eyes, officials said. It's unclear why it took so long for police to be told about her disappearance.

She was last seen wearing a dark green coat, blue jeans and black shoes, police said.

Gonzalez went missing shortly before another girl from the neighborhood, Iyonjah Cox. Cox, however, returned home on Feb. 8, an NYPD spokeswoman said Friday morning.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
