A McDonald’s on Sixth Avenue has relaunched as a “French-inspired restaurant concept," marking the first of its kind for the fast-food giant.
The new McDonald’s at 809 Sixth Ave., at the corner of West 28th Street, still serves the chain's standard burgers and fries, but a new menu offers Parisian-inspired baked goods like croissants, chocolatines and “petite pastries” with cinnamon cream cheese and raspberry fillings.
The outpost also boasts a concierge and a “sleek interior” with cushioned wireframe seats and self-order kiosks, the chain said in a release.
“McDonald’s is on a journey toward becoming a modern and progressive burger company,” Gino Potesta, the general manager and vice president of McDonald's New York Metro Region, said in a statement.
“The launch of this restaurant is a testament to our commitment to building a better McDonald’s and offering our customers an elevated experience that they will notice and appreciate," he added.
It’s the first French-inspired outpost in the country, the release noted.
