Free Movies Headed to Brookfield Place

BATTERY PARK CITY —  Free movies are on their way to Brookfield Place.

The fim series, "Pictures Under the Palms," is set for the vaulted glass Winter Garden atrium at 230 Vesey St. — home to soaring palm trees.

The gratis movies, which run every Wednesday, from Feb. 22 through March 15, include superhero comedy "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris."

The last film in the series is viewers' choice. Those interested can vote here for either "O Brother, Where Art Thou?," "Moonrise Kingdom" or Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo & Juliet."

Free popcorn will also be available for moviegoers.

Films start at 7 p.m.
