WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A snow-buried Uptown delighted residents Thursday as they emerged from "blizzard-like conditions" to share the scene on social media.
The snow, which was still falling Thursday afternoon and which officials said be 14 inches deep before it stops, forced trains and buses to be delayed, schools to close and city libraries and museums to shutter.
Washington Heights and Inwood residents took to Twitter and Instagram — some on their way to work — to marvel at the snow.
