BROOKLYN — A thief raced up behind a 67-year-old woman and snatched her purse in Manhattan Beach before using her debit card to buy fast food, NYPD officials said.
Surveillance video released Tuesday night shows the culprit swipe the victim's purse, which contained $800, outside 2 West End Ave. and race away about 9:25 p.m. Monday, police said.
The woman's purse also contained her phone, two credit cards and a debit card, police said.
The suspect later used the stolen debit card to buy $30 worth of McDonald's in Park Slope, police said.
He was described as in his 20s, standing 5-foot-9 and weighing about 200 pounds, police said. He was last seen in a gray jacket with black pants and gray sneakers, police said.
