CHELSEA — Maybe he got stuck in traffic?

A man disappeared with a U-Haul truck after renting it from a garage on West 23rd Street a month ago, the NYPD said.

The 59-year-old rented the truck from the facility at 562 W. 23rd St., near 11th Avenue, around 8:44 a.m. on Jan. 9 and was supposed to return it the next day, police said.

The company tried contacting the man about returning the vehicle several times, but wasn’t able to get in touch with him, the NYPD said.

The truck was last spotted on the Macombs Dam Bridge between Manhattan and the Bronx on Jan. 31 around 8:04 a.m., police said.

A representative for U-Haul on Wednesday said the company "does not comment on these types of incidents."

"U-Haul maintains a robust investigations unit and works with law enforcement agencies on a regular basis to resolve cases of stolen property," he said.

No one had been arrested in connection with the theft as of Wednesday.

Other recent crimes in the 10th Precinct include:

► A 45-year-old man was driving near the northeast corner of West 23rd Street and Ninth Avenue around 8:26 a.m. on Feb. 2 when a yellow cab driver spit at him through his window, hitting him in the face, the NYPD said. Police hadn’t arrested anyone in connection with the incident as of Wednesday.

► A police officer saw an 18-year-old man inside an Elliott-Chelsea Houses building at 426 W. 27th St. holding a small bag of marijuana in his left hand, the NYPD said. When the man saw the officer, he threw the bag on the floor and tried to run off, but the officer apprehended him. The officer discovered the man had been trespassing and also recovered two large glass containers filled with marijuana and a clear baby bottle filled with 5 ounces of liquid codeine when he searched him.
