THE BRONX — A man stabbed an acquaintance while they were drinking in a Belmont building, according to the NYPD and sources.

The two men were inside 2260 Crotona Ave. at about 1 a.m. on Feb. 2 when they got into an argument, police and law enforcement sources said. The man then stabbed the 27-year-old victim once in the chest and fled, sources said.

The victim was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The victim has not been cooperating with investigators, sources said.

The suspect, who remains on the lam, is between 30 and 40 years old and was last seen wearing a blue knit cap, red t-shirt and blue jeans.
