MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a man who mugged two women after following them into their Upper West Side buildings, the NYPD said.

The suspect first struck on Dec. 29 at about 6:30 p.m., when he approached a 24-year-old woman from behind while she was entering her building at Columbus Avenue and West 107th Street, police said.

The robber snatched the woman’s purse and fled east on West 107th Street toward Central Park West, police said.

The woman was not injured.

About a week later, on Jan. 5, the suspect followed a 70-year-old woman into her building at West End Avenue and 105th Street at about 7:35 p.m., according to the NYPD.

He again approached the victim from behind, pushed her to the ground and stole her purse.

The woman suffered pain in her forehead and left leg, but was not taken to the hospital.
