
WOODSIDE — A man wearing a surgical mask threatened a teller at a Queens bank while stealing more than $900, according to the NYPD.
The suspect, who wore the blue medical mask to cover the lower half of his face, walked into the Chase Bank at 59-29 Woodside Ave. near 60th Street shortly after 10 a.m. Monday, handing a note to the teller demanding the cash and saying he had a loaded gun, police said.
The teller complied, and the man fled the bank with $908, according to police. No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect was described as around 25 years old, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 175 pounds. He wore a black bubble jacket, black hat, blue jeans and dark gloves, police said.
