Police said the nurse, 28, was treating a 29-year-old woman in a room at the emergency clinic at 30 Seventh Ave. South about 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 27 when the patient kicked her in the jaw.

The nurse's mouth began to bleed, police said, and the patient said, "That's what you get, b—."

The patient, who was 5-foot-6, 115 pounds and wearing a red sweatshirt, light blue jeans and brown work boots, was arrested and charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury, assault recklessly causing physical injury and attempted assault with intent to cause physical injury, all misdemeanors, according to police and court records.

Court records show she was also issued a violation for harassment.
