STAPLETON — A man was beaten with a baseball bat inside a Stapleton deli after he got into a fight with three men, police said.

The 20-year-old victim was inside the Star Deli Grocery, at 201 Broad St., on Jan. 16 when three men approached him at about 1:45 p.m., the NYPD said.

The group got into a physical fight with the victim then one of them hit him in the head with a baseball bat, police said.

It's not immediately clear whether the attackers and victim knew each other.

The victim was treated for face and head injuries at an area hospital, police said.
