Pair of Thieves Steals Laptops, iPads From FiDi High-Rise, Police Say

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Police are looking for two men they say stole eight laptops and four iPads last month from a luxury high rise that's still under construction, police said.

The pair stole one Microsoft laptop and one iPad from 50 West St. on Jan. 24 at about 9:45 p.m., entering the building through a rear door, police said.

They returned to the building the next day, at about 9:25 p.m., and took eight Dell laptops and four iPads.

The suspects were caught on a surveillance video released by police on Wednesday. One man is described as standing 5-foot-6 and weighing roughly 170 pounds. The other man stands about 5-foot-9 and weighs 180 pounds, according to authorities.
