Rent a Studio in Central Harlem for $822 a Month

HARLEM — Applications to rent apartments for as low $822 per month have opened in Central Harlem.

Forty newly renovated units are available in several buildings in the neighborhood: 304 W. 152nd St, 232 W. 149th St, 2797 Frederick Douglass Blvd and 2472 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd.

The buildings were renovated through the West Harlem Group Assistance, Inc. (WHGA). 

There are two studios, 21 one-bedrooms, 13 two-bedrooms and four-bedrooms available.  

Four units are available at 50 percent of the area median income and 36 are available at 60 percent of the area median income (AMI).

For two- and three-person households, a two-bedroom can rent for $870 with an annual household income of between $31,817 and $40,800.

Other two-bedroom apartments rent for $1,065 for a two-person household earning between $38,503 to $43,500 and a three-person household earning $38,503 to $48,960.

Singles earning $30,069 to $38,100 can rent a studio apartment for $822, or a one-bedroom for $882 with an annual income between $32,194 to $38,100.

Applications are due March 31.

Preference for half of the units will go to current residents of Manhattan Community Board 10.
