QUEENS — A man was found dead and covered in injuries in his Woodhaven home Sunday afternoon, NYPD officials said.
Police forced their way into Efrain Vargas' home after he hadn't checked in with his mother in about a week. They found him on the floor about 3:30 p.m., police said.
Vargas, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The circumstances of Vargas' death weren't immediately clear. The Medical Examiner's office will determine his cause of death.
