DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — Popular Korean barbecue truck Korilla BBQ is parking at MetroTech for the long haul.

The food truck, which has served lunch weekly at MetroTech since 2015, will open its first brick-and-mortar eatery in Brooklyn at 2 MetroTech Center by late spring or early summer, the company said.

“As Downtown Brooklyn continues to grow and expand, so is Korilla,” owner Edward Song said in a statement. “We want to bring a fresh, new concept for our Brooklynites to enjoy.”

Diners will be able to pick up items like bulgogi burritos, hot chicken rice bowls or kimcheese fries from the new outpost.

The spot will be Korilla’s third brick-and-mortar location since opening at 23 Third Ave. in the East Village in 2014 and 55 Spring St. in SoHo last month.

The Brooklyn location will offer a new breakfast menu by chef Michaelangelo Calvarido, with options like breakfast burritos topped with Korean-style meats, breakfast rice bowls, breakfast sandwiches and Korean congee, Eater reported.

Patrons can create their own meals like at the East Village location or pick from a new selection of “chef-curated" bowls, Eater reported. There will also reportedly be more kimchi options and seasonal vegetables.

Korilla is just one of several new spots coming to Downtown Brooklyn, including soup dumpling shop Yaso Tangbao, fast-casual Chinese restaurant The Wei, Italian bistro Lady’s and Asian fusion restaurant Black Walnut.
