HUNTS POINT — The head of a prostitute whose torso and leg were discovered in a Bronx trash facility was found in the home of a registered sex offender, authorities said.

Somorie Moses, 40, was arrested and charged with concealment of a human corpse for hiding the body parts of a woman, who remains unidentified, in the Metropolitan Transfer Station at 287 Halleck St. in Hunts Point, and he is expected to be charged with her murder as well, according to the NYPD.

Investigators believe the victim was a prostitute who had a history with Moses, police said.

Her body parts were initially found on Jan. 17 around 4:40 a.m., and officials later discovered her head, hands and feet at Moses' residence in East Flatbush, according to police and court papers.

The Medical Examiner is still working on determining the victim's cause and manner of death.

Moses has been charged with concealment of a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence, but more charges against him are pending, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Moses is a level-two sex offender and has eight prior arrests on charges including rape and patronizing a prostitute, according to the NYPD.

He was arraigned on Sunday, ordered held without bail and is due back in court on Jan. 26, according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office.
