STATEN ISLAND — A Bronx man stole more than $2,000 worth of items from a TJ Maxx and Sephora, prosecutors said.

Gregory Thompson, 48, and another suspect went into the stores last month, put items into a bag and walked out without paying, according to his criminal complaint.

The pair first walked into the TJ Maxx at 1509 Forest Ave. on Dec. 10 and placed multiple jackets into the bag while Thompson tried to block the security camera at about 1:37 p.m., prosecutors said.

They walked out with more than $1,000 worth of jackets from the store.

The duo then went into the Sephora inside the Staten Island Mall at about 6:35 p.m. and Thompson held open the bag while the other suspect put more than $1,000 worth of perfumes inside, prosecutors said.

Thompson was arrested on Jan. 18 and charged with grand larceny, possession of burglar's tools, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny at his arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

His bail was set at $7,500 and he's due back in court on Feb. 1, according to online court records.

The other suspect has not yet been arrested.

Thompson previously spent time in prison in 2010 and 2014 for attempted burglary and criminal possession of stolen property charges, according to the Department of Correction.

His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
